There's some pomp and circumstance about Danica Patrick, a female Indy car driver, who is going to tackle a NASCAR (i.e. stock car) race.
Here's what you can chat up:

> It's not the first time a driver's done this. Dario Franchetti (also known as Ashley Judd's husband) went from Indy style to NASCAR but returned to Indy style when his team shut down.

Also of note is Juan Pablo Montoya, who went from CART (the once rival of the Indy circuit...topic of another conversation) to Formula 1 to NASCAR.
Despite the fact that the NASCAR brand has lost its
shine in recent years, it's still the most popular style of car racing (and you can thank Formula 1's disgraced president for that, in part).
But just ask my niece. She can't drive for another 10 years but she's a die-hard Kyle Busch fan...because he drives the M&M™ car.
I still miss Dick Trickle.
