Today's tip of the day is a piece of slang that I heard a lot of yesterday.
While watching the Bengals pummel the Bears yesterday, the commentators kept talking about Cedric Benson "running downhill". What that means is that he's powerful runner and he had a full head of steam when he hit the line i.e. when he came into contact with the opposing team's defensive line. So, in other words, he's running so well, so effortlessly, he's making his runs look easy...like he's running downhill.
